Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15 and is of great significance not just for North Americans but also for many Hispanic nations. So why not decorate your classroom with this colorful free banner to commemorate the Hispanic and Latino Americans who have made significant contributions to all avenues of society – be it in education, sport, entertainment, law, and politics to name a few.

The bunting flags for this free banner may read: Hispanic Heritage Month or Hispanic Americans.  There are also decorative flags featuring 12  Hispanic Americans and their time period. It would be ideal to display students’ work below this heritage banner.

You could have students work in small groups to research an Hispanic American of choice, then have them share their findings with the class. Finally, display their research reports beside the Hispanic American bunting flag in question.
